Hi, anyone using your own printer to print shots from session for the client? If yes or no please share your experience with any good affordable model.

I've used a regular printer to print photos and they've come out pretty decent. I would definitely suggest using photo paper of course.

What size do you need to print and what is your budget?

It's quite cheap going through a lab for your regular prints. Plus they can do really large sizes.

I would make inkjet more of a niche service for your clients. Offer "fine art" inkjet prints on special rag paper.

I think it would become horribly expensive if you printed everything yourself.

That's how we used to do it at the last studio I worked at.

I think something like the Epson R3000 would be nice, can print up to A3+ and will set you back around £550
