I recently moved to North Georgia so Ive been going out and exploring a bit.
One of the overlooks a couple miles down the road from me had some chairs sitting out and a nice view so I moved them together and setup a shot.
It was rather hard to get a good light balance with the bright background and new HDR options (and no skill with bracketing).
I played with the onboard flash and it looked pretty harsh so I grabbed a sheet of paper and used it as a flash diffuser and I like how the shot ended up.
Thoughts?
I think the background is still a good bit overexposed, but luckily light room helped a lot.

First impression: Really cool photo. Second impression: Really cool photo. I like it. The way the wood looks and the overall composure is neat.

If I'm going to be extremely critical, on the left side the wood looks like it got hit by the flash more-so than on the right side. It's a little exposed more, and makes the wood look a little less rustic on that slight portion. There's also a slight shadow that protrudes out from that left portion which could be photoshopped out. My criticisms could be off though.

Anyway, I like the shot. I enjoy learning things and getting ideas out of stuff like this :)

Thanks guys.
And I noticed the same thing with the flash on the left side. I might buy a better flash fairly soon and try it again.
That spot is only a couple minutes from my apartment so its easy to redo
