Well, I hadn't posted on my thread in about 6 months and apparently the site blocks you from posting on a thread that hasn't been posted on for 3 months. So, I'm making a new one. Currently taking a break from photography, but I have some stuff that's only a few months old I'll post up. Going to be doing some experimental stuff soon, will update then.

Oh hello thread. Currently taking a big ass break from photography, but here's some stuff I did a few months back.

Playing with unusual tools. I'm going to be doing a model cell phone shoot, edited in photoshop with the same editing techniques I use on "real" shoots to prove a point. A few people locally are getting into photography, and instantly trying to jump to L series lenses and pro bodies. Personally I spent my first 2 years on a kit lens, then moved up to a 50mm and held onto that for another year or more. Knowledge > Tools. A pro lens or body will do nothing for your photos if you don't know what you're doing.

That last one looks nice.

I suppose. Though if they stick with it, they could enjoy it. If they don't have the cash for it, then there's definitely an issue. I mean, after all, it's tech-dick syndrome... everyone loves having a big one. I certainly do. I'd absolutely love to have some pro lenses and I need to learn a lot.
