Are there any cheap and reliable options?
From what I can tell the Nikon version is like $50.
I was hoping for <$20 but everything at that price is off brand.
Are there and safe, reliable, long lasting off brands that I should look into?

I tried phottex previously, my worst purchase ever
lasted 1 charge and then died, would not even charge again

my advice is to pay the extra and get the original

I agree, I usually buy OEM. Just because. You get some cheap knock-off Chinese and it blows up in your camera then you will want to kick your own ass. (If ass isn't appropriate, then think of a donkey).

Much like everything else in photography, you get what you paid for.

I have 3 canon batteries and 1 knock off( guy I bought the camera from gave me it)

I charged it one time, used it once, got like 10 minutes of video with it and it died -_____________________-

Well, that all being said, does anyone know a place to find Nikon batteries relatively cheap? Is eday/amazon my best bet?

The filter for that word is crazy. Everytime someone posts engine...bay in the motorsports section it gets filtered.

I guess ill order me one soon, Ive been keeping my other one charger better lately though.
