So, These have been quite a few of the first shots I've done. CnC will all be appreciated.
Some of the skate shots didn't come out as sharp as I wanted but, I'm working on it.

try to play with more interesting angles and perspectives. I find wide angle shots from almost down the ground pretty cool. for skatebording shots that is.

you seem to still have a problem taking photos of your subject not facing you. angling could use some work

don't be afraid to get close to your subject. I think taking either close or far range shots are good for skate photos. somewhere in between being near and far just crops way too much of the background making it ugly. close shots will render out most of the background and will focus your subject.

technique, planning, creativity, and patience is key to make nice photos

The first ones, of the guys skateboarding, would look a lot better with a wider apperture. Take some new ones with your 50mm at 1.8. Leave the focus for the action, forget the background unless it's interesting

I know I was just learning about aperture at that point.

I now take a little more time to set up for skating shots and stuff but I'm still learning how to set up the settings to get a good looking pictures so its not so bland.

I need to get the user setting profiles down.

I've seen some pictures people take and I just don't understand the settings they used t get them.

Mainly I want them to be a little darker and I just really want the person in the picture to stand out. I also like vivid colors and bright background.

I think most of these were taken before I messed with settings but I found some default ones people use online and i've messed with those and also started messing with light balance.

I like these

Only one picture is showing. The guy is standing out because they are using another light source besides natural light. You can see the light reflection on the rail on the bottom left corner, and on the concrete piece he is jumping. A lot of skateboard photographers use speedlights, it helps a lot in ''popping'' the subject, and freezing the action allowing higher speeds
