Don't have the manual for the camera. Inherited it, so... would like to be able to take pictures of myself.

for what purpose?

get a nice sturdy tripod and set your aperture small, low ISO, and long shutter speed. that is a simple time lapse. most of the other types are actually programmed to shoot 1 picture every couple seconds/minutes/hours/days to capture things like changing seasons, plants growing.

wait...you mean time lapse or the actual timer for a shot?
