Hey was very drawn into photography by a buddy and I decided to save up for a camera. Finally got one, so I am going to start it for myself.

I bought a Nikon Dslr 3100, with the 18-55 stock zoom lens.

Like I said, I am at the very beginning of my activity in photography, so if my photos are horrible I apologize to your eyes.

I don't know how to photoshop these well, if I am supposed to at all, but I am going to try and learn.

if you want to shoot RAW, which you ultimately will, you need something like PS to edit your pictures ;)

I have Photoshop, but I don't know what to do considering my lack of skill. I am going to look into it though. I did shoot these in raw though, except for the dog one.

Have fun with your new camera! I remember I was in love with the night time photos when I got my first camera, they were very fun. You have a beautiful cat!

Just keep practicing!

you need to edit RAWs or they will look worse than the camera-made jpegs. Shooting RAW is about having lots of control, not always better IQ, so take advantage of that ;)

Will do guys I appreciate the feedback. I will do that now. I studied the couple of stickies and I have a better idea of what I should be doing now.
