Thought I'd start a GC about photography where we can basically talk about photography related!

So many threads are being derailed!

So it's been snowing like a bitch lately, too cold and miserable to go outside and motivation is pretty low so I took a few pics from my flat balcony:

but so damn happy it doesnt get cold here, our idea of cold is below 20 degC

mate, i'm from australia so this is a totally alien world for me!

so much potential photographing in the snow though, it's beautiful :)

Omg I love that first one, its like a still from an old Christmas movie. Im also glad we dont really get snow here though, lol.

Glad you made this, I always have a million different questions.

What lab do you all use? Ive been using WHCC, but I read a review recently comparing pro labs and ProDPI came out on top. Im going to be getting the 5 prints from them soon but I wanted to hear what everyone else thinks.

here i use ProLab Digital, they are good but we dont have a huge choice of printers here

Don't anything new to post other than a snapshot of the dog in the snow.

been very inactive photographically speaking and i am looking for inspiration.


Normally the winter months feel me with creative ideas and moody skies used to make me think out the box. I'm drawing a blank guys!

lithfkn love the first shot so simple but great perspective, and the black and white conversion really worked (why no exif data :-( ?? )

i remember when i was starting out, taking out my mamiya with 3 rolls of film into a snow filled hyde park in london, and all the negatives on all 3 rolls using the cameras meter were under exposed.

Changed ps recently, all my brushes in old ps, can i transfer those to new one? CS4->CS5

as long as i see things working for me i dont bother to update ^^
changed ps only cuz didnt find 5DIII RAW support for CS4 ;D
