Two different choices:
Canon T4i 18-55mm EF-S IS + 55-250mm EF-S IS for $738.00 or Canon T4i 18-135mm EF-S IS for $859.00

I think you'll find the 18-135is to be a much better choice than the "original kit lens" + a 55-250. The 136 to 250mm range is lost for quality on the 55-250... that's just my opinion as someone who has used all of these lenses. The 18-135 or a 28-135is is just better all-around.

I would also suggest grabbing the 50mm 1.8. It's the cheapest canon lens and I take a 50mm with me to dark shooting situations twice as much as a long margin zoom lens.

good luck!

I looked at reviews of the 55-250mm and the quailty seems fine after 136mm
