Nikon Normal AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D

I wanted to upgrade my current lens for my nikon fm10.
The price is reasonable and from what i've read from the reviews it seems like a worthy investment.
has anyone on here experienced this lens before?
would you recommend something else?

take the G one. 50mm f/1.8G is a great lense and this should not be missing from your camera bag

they are great, sharp lenses, amazing for the price
i had the 1.8D when i had a nikon
not sure if the G or D will be better for your cam
