How adorable are these kids? Theyre 6 and 2, and they were super well behaved and fun. The older one wants to be a model I think, haha.

Kind of a post and run, about to take the kids to see Santa :D.

Wow they are all so beautiful!
The colours are so soft, I prefer the color photos and not as much the black and white.....
I absolutely LOVE the concept of second photo! So pro!!! Seriously, I really like it!!!

I hope to take portraits like this one day. I'm in awe at all of them.

I do agree with Marie though, that the black and white just don't do the images right. At least for this set. It's disappointing too, because I love the pose in the last photo, but they don't stand out in black and white.

Still wonderful photos though. Thanks for the inspiration! =-]

Thank you!! :D.

I was super happy with how that turned out, the kids loved holding the banner. I was so worried that the two year old wouldnt want anything to do with it, haha. I actually made the banner myself, I wanted to get one from Etsy but it was going to take way too long..plus she wouldnt give me a discount and Im cheap

I had another concept with that banner and a fence, that one didnt turn out like I wanted it to..kind of bums me out :(

Thank you ^^ It took a lot of trial and error, haha. It took me a long time to know what a good location was and when the best light was..after that, it was all technical  Now if only I could get better at post processing >:x

I definitely see what you guys are saying about the conversions, I havent been very happy with them lately either. I find myself adding a lot of adjustment layers to try and get rid of the funky tones ._. Thank you both for saying that though, Ill scrap those and try new conversions.

Here are the color versions of those two:

Is it just me or do they look a bit green in the bottom one?

Oh wow, the difference! I like the new versions much better!

I'm like you when it comes to lighting. I prefer natural light over a flash anyday. To me, it's just too much work to make the flash work properly with the subject, etc etc.

I don't see you have any issues with post-processing. It definitely shows that you have a particular style. Lower saturation and soft focus, but it's definitely nowhere near bad. I love it. I'm still trying to figure out what my post-processing style is.

What camera and lens do you use? I know you've posted it before, but it's scattered all over the forums, and it's hard to keep track of what each person uses, lol.

You always do such a good job with kids :) They are photogenic, what a bonus! I like the sisters sign, that's really cute, and their smiles are priceless!

Love the bokeh on 11 - and the moment you captured.

Great work!

Is your name Monica? I can now call you that instead of xan...

Yay! :D. Now I wish I hadnt posted the bw version in the sneak peek, lol.

Yeah, the few times I did use it I was like ugh, it looks way unnatural. I even had one of those softbox things over it. I did buy an umbrella stand setup recently, I was thinking maybe it wouldnt be so harsh with one of those. If it doesnt work out I may just have to set the flash aside permanently, haha.

I feel like I have issues with my colors. Mainly with skin..I feel like its either too magenta or too green, or a mix of both. Thank you though ^^

I have the Mark II, and so far I only have one lens, the 50mm 1.8.

Thanks!! :D.

Would you mind doing me a favor though? You said you have that silver fx program for your conversions, do you think you could take that photo of them hugging and show me what one of them looks like? If you dont mind.
