I am looking for my first flash, but I can't decide which one to buy..
I would like to shoot weddings and important events.
Later I would like to have a better flash of course, I know one flash is not enough, but I would like to buy my first flash.
I don't really want to buy a bad one, so...
Metz MB 50 AF-1
Metz MB 58 AF-2
Canon Speedlite 430 EX II
Canon Speedlite 580 EX II

Can somebody help me?

Thanks in advance! :)

If you're willing to look into non Canon brand ones, check out the Neewer full manual flash on Amazon. It's like $50.

It's not a bad one, it's a full manual budget photographers flash. I've had mine for quite a while, it's very nice.

Uhm well, I meant I need a really good one for a long time, not so cheap, and I think I will buy the 580 EX II :)

I guess I don't know your definition of good then, it is a good flash. It's just cheap priced because it's full manual. The 580 EX II is a good choice though.

I meant, I will shoot weddings/important events and I don't want to buy an untrusthworthy flash, if you know what I mean.

excellent flash

but yeah the "cheap" 1 he was mentioning would be the Yongnuo
i have 3x YN-560ii (fully manual), great flash, never had a problem, recycle times are awesome, happy with quality build etc etc
if u want a ttl flash they have the YN-565ex, again i have used it extensively and its great
if money was no option then yeah i would have a few 600ex's and a high end metz but its not worth it for me, can do everything i need and more with what i have, the money that i would save would rather go to extra units and modifiers
