So I have the task of going through the thousands of family pictures of my family of six taken over about 20 years or so. I need to organize them into albums based on a number of different things. but what i need help on is i need to take these photos and make digital copies of them and put them on my hard drive. So i was hoping anyone with experience or knowledge of the best ways to do this i.e., the best scanners for the job as there are so many on the market i'd just be taking a guess as to which one is the best one for the job without overpaying or getting something useless.

tl;dr - need to scan old family photos and put digital copies on hard drive, need help figuring best way how.

will gladly donate if i put the information i receive to use!

thanks guys

if you have a good cam you could simply take digital fotos of that pile of pictures - that would be fastest imo. if you need a specific one you can crop it when needed. that would be the way i would make it. you can "scan" like 20 at once
