After I get my DSLR tomorrow, I plan on taking pictures like crazy. I know I'll be uploading/posting them online and want to watermark them to prevent people from stealing them. No, I'm not implying that I think they'll be so awesome that people will want to, I just don't trust people, lol.

Anyways, I was wondering what the best way to watermark it is? Or if anyone here takes the time to even watermark their images. I never cared much before with my point-and-shoot, but I really plan on moving ahead in Photography, so I think it'd be good to start if I ever do a portfolio.

really it is not that important in the begining, but LR / PS does it when u export

Gotcha. It's too bad you can't use film lenses from a different brand with a digital slr. I have a Pentax K1000 35mm SLR with like 3 lenses.

you can also just run a text through photoshop and put opacity to around 40%

Well, I wouldn't be stupid enough to do it on the original copy, only the copy that gets posted online.

Not even 100% that I'll do it, just wondered about opinions.
