My girlfriend bought me a Fujifilm F600EXR (16 MP) as a present and I'm not sure which memory card to get.

I am very new to photography so I don't know much.

What is the difference between a SDHC and a SDXC memory card?
I saw a Sandisk 8GB class 4 memory card for 7 dollars on amazon.com, but I also saw a Transcend 8GB class 10 memory card for 9 dollars.
I don't know which memory card to get.
Should I get a screen protector and a case for my camera as well?

Should I get a screen protector and a case for my camera as well? - always have a protective case of some sort, screen protector is up to you, i dont use them, but i am very carefull with my cameras
