I have never heard of it for cameras before, I have no idea, sorry I can't help :(

Had trouble finding anything in google, I imagine there's nothing out there yet unless you want to hack the camera? Lol

I use magic lantern on my t2i for HDR. It's great and was very simple to install.

Be extremely careful with custom firmware like Magic Lantern. If you accidentally change a setting you could potentially burn out your image sensor and your processor.

I don't get it, what is firmware, and by having it custom, what can you do?

i think one feature i would use is specific shutter timer to make timelapse and stopmotion film.
