Hai, long time no posts from me in the photography section. I've been keeping most of my photos in different mediums..
Some of you may remember me as hestJaevel!

Anyway.. I live in southern Sweden, close to the water.. Recently there was a storm and a floating dock escaped from a nearby harbour.
Nobody was harmed though, which was pretty lucky.. The water levels were approximately 150cm higher then usual. The floating dock
hit land and after the storm the sea levels came back to normal.. Which means that now the floating dock pretty much lives on land..

At new years eve I took a friend with me to document this whole situation..

This bastard has a weight of ~6000 tons.. It's pretty massive and will be crazy hard to move! This image isn't edited at all as it's only here for documentary purposes.

Me trying to be artistic, hdr made out of 3 exposures, -2, 0 and +2.

Taken with canon 24-70 at f/11, with my 5d mk2.

I hope you found this interesting. It was an absolutely amazing view and if they ever get to salvage this dock I hope to be available to document that too!
Any criticism is welcome if you feel like, I haven't been around for c&c for a loong time though so I'm probably full of holes :P

Best regards, Filip

I don't know much (Translation: anything.) about photography and I'm browsing on my phone, but that picture (2nd one) looks amazing...can't wait to see it on my 24" monitor at home!

Thanks! I'm glad you like it!

By the way, I was a bit tired and didn't really involve the title of the topic in any way, I got no picture including the highway but it's been all over the news in sweden.

Picture is to be found on the link. Won't be translating as the news sais the same things pretty much as I already did.

I like 1 better, what kind of postproduction did you do on it if you don't mind telling?

I can see why. I'm both ways when it comes to 2, I like the outcome, but at the same time I think it's overedited somehow.

1 is not edited in any way actually, it's not even sharpened. Just converted from raw to jpeg!
