Hi, this will be my first post here.

I have a question about shooting products, furniture specifically. I have three story barn that I work out of, and woud like to have an area to shoot pieces for portfolio and advert use.

What would you do for the best shots.

I have a canon 5D and a canon eos 7D at my disposal. (not sure if this information helps)

get a bunch of speedlites (most flexible)
few soft boxes,
umbrellas,
backgrounds (not sure but maybe you will need green screen)

set up and start shooting ;)

How big are these pieces?
How big is the space you can shoot in?
What is your budget?
What is the medium in which you will advertise? ie. low res newspapers or high res magazines?

etc etc

How big are these pieces?

can range, largest being a bed set.

How big is the space you can shoot in?

About 24x16

What is your budget?

not a lot, but my father already has most of the camera equipment.

What is the medium in which you will advertise? ie. low res newspapers or high res magazines?

Mostly, online.

What is "not much" ? 1000? 2000?

24' x 16' might be enough without distorting the product.

Okay, online, so fairly low res..
