ok so im a bodger and a tinker (in london that means i like messing around with stuff mechanically etc without much knowledge)

So i shaved my mirror on my 5d to fit a self converted minolta 58 1.2 - all went well

then i decide i want to take out the mirror box to service my view finder - easy compared to the other tasks!

Now my 5d is useless as i put a screwdriver through the shutter and straight into the sensor

I have proceeded to sell all my camera gear on eebay relating to canon

I'm now debating getting a sony just for fun or some sort of nikon..... maybe a leica but i REFUSE to buy another canon as im extremely pissed off.

I'm not pro so don't care much for top specs i just want a decent camera that will take a few flicks. Any ideas people?

ergonomics are awful, need a change and too common! also i love old mf lens'and theres limited for canon

Yes. Limited. Ever Nikon lens with a manual aperture and focus. Very limited.

Plus a least a dozen other companions that today still make Canon dedicated manual lenses, and with amazing results. Such as Bower for the budget.
