I got my brandnew Canon EOS 60D deliverd with EF-S 18-55 IS.
So i decided to go to the Zoo in Cologne and taking my first Pictures :)

I think if i put them into the Forum they're to big so i will just post the Links.

Get used to aperture priority.
Don't use manual, you'll use it 5% of the times.
Only use Manual if you use an external flash mounted on your camera.

Aperture priority -> ~ 85% of the times
Shutter priority -> ~ 10% of the times
Manual -> ~ 5% of the times


Read some beginner stuff, as soon as you learn what iso/aperture/shutter/exposition are, you're ready to go and start getting better on your own.

Manual 75%
AV 25%

For the best, manual 100%..

Doesn't make sense to me, why use manual when it is much easier to use priority modes since you have the camera compensating either aperture or shutter speed lol.
It's not like using manual will grant you better shots than priority modes will..

Yes but why?
Other than studio shots or where you need to handle flash manual is useless since its slower to set up compared to priorities.

i do events with off camera flash
also night land/cityscapes are better done on manual
