1.) Lion that awoke for three seconds for me to take this picture then fell back asleep!

2.) My favourite animal! I took soooo many pictures of them that day.

3.) Reminds me of a person, looks so funny! They have such human mannerisms... Or we have gorilla mannerisms? haha.

4.) Hippo swimming =]

5.) I know this one looks funny, but I wanted to focus on the friend, I named this photo Rhino and Friend. haha =]

Good focus on the lion -nasty green in the top right? and un flattering composition
I like the giraffe one, its an interesting perspective - taken at head height.
The gorilla has again poor composition. The picture itself is good, i would have tried to expose the eyes better though
Hippo again in my opinion is in the wrong focus point - too much empty space in the shot.
The squirrel also is too near to the edge of the frame. Which leads the viewer to miss the point of the photo

I feel that your crop on portraits seems too slim which makes the pictures feel unnatural and manufactured.

All in all the giraffe one in my opinion is brilliant the rest lack good composition and any other aspect that makers them better than any generic shots at the zoo.

I appreciate the criticism :) This was my first time using a telephoto lens, usually I take subjects/landscapes that I can walk towards and pose!

It was a lot different doing animals, I liked it!

Next time I will be much more prepared that is for sure, I was rushing at each shot to go to the next cage, I will be more patient the 2nd time at the zoo for better shots. This trip was more for fun!

I think at the zoo our photography mind disappears and our "omg its a tiger" mind frame comes in and we forget about the shot :P

Thats what i'm like any way...
