The only lens I have right now is an 18-135mm canon.

I'm thinking of spending 50-100 bucks on renting lenses. I was looking at maybe a 70-200 f/4 or 2.8 and maybe a standard prime.

Would you guys suggest any lenses/any places to rent them?

this pretty much. guess the 35 L is more important tho if you´re going to shoot street and some architecture.

Is 35mm going to be wide enough considering I'm on a cropped sensor?

this for sure if you on full frame ? On crop i would go for 28mm always little bit extra space :)
