Should I get a monopod or tripod if I get a zoom lens? My swiss gear bag doesnt have a place for it though.

Depends on you/what you already have and on what you shoot.
as for me, considering the eq i already have, i'd go for a wide any day.

I shoot alot of things to hard to tell u a specific category. I just want a good walk around lens

Well a 50 is one of those lenses every photographer have
I'd go for that one.
