Which one is better for glamour shots and what is the difference when shooting whit beauty dish full open / half closed is that just making shadow softer / stronger or there is any other purpose of that ?

octobox.
"better" is on the eye of the beholder. Octoboxes are simply superior in every respect.
The distribution of light is the sole purpose of opening or closing the surface of a light that is being spread. The only reason such changes come to be softer/stronger is because of how focused the light is in the first place. Obviously, the more open a dish is, the more everywhere the light goes.

yeah I seen some test on that big boy but for price like this better make your own parabolic light and effect will be same or close.
OPG - thats what i was think but wondering how will be falloff from shadow still "soft" wide open or more harsh ?
