Constructive criticism is welcome.

1.

2.

3. Not much of a sport photo, just a tennis fence. I liked it for my background.

PP on #1 is horrid. overexposure is rampant. composition is meh.

#2- you missed the golden ratio by quite a bit. Looks akward.

#3. it's a fence.

I know what the golden ratio is, but what are you talking about? You mean between the ball and the team?

The ratio doesn't apply to 3 either... It's just a fence. It is exactly the way it should be, all it was supposed to be was another desktop pattern background for myself.

sal doesn't know his art theory then. Consider the ratio and you'll see that your focal point is off by quite a bit.

I think he was saying that onepage was on point with his cnc of 1 and 3. I agree with that too.

As far as your bw conversions, Ive noticed all of them seem to not have enough contrast or theyre way over contrasted. Try to find a good balance.

Apparently my idea of the golden ratio as about 1:1.61 is way off then. That photo falls almost exactly on it in the bottom left corner.

um.. no. just because part of the ball is touching it does not mean it hits the golden ratio.
