I'm not spamming, I'm just breaking the rules.

Not that impressed by this one, knowing you have much better shots. Everything is just meh, nothing pops out or catches my eye. It's just a properly exposed/ focused tree.

4/10.

Everything is meh in this one too.

I always liked the composition of that one. I wish there were less grays though, and that the background were a little less sharp. What was your aperture at?

Oh and 6/10, cuz I like the compo/subject/depth.

Ill stay consistent with the bw photos xD Nothing fancy about this one, just wanted to post it for sal. Shot at 1/15, jajaja.

1/60
400 ISO
f/5.6

All I did on the conversion was turned saturation down to 0. I'm sure I could make it much better with actual editing work. But I need to learn to edit to start. I took the shot on a walk about during my visit to Seattle, could have done things a little better as well as used a lens that I could've opened up more. Oh well :D

I did, but that was well after I had already uploaded. After I deleted my photostream on flickr I decided that I was going to work on editing some of my favorite shots and upload the edits, but I have yet to do so. Right now I'm not on my computer so I can only access shots that I had in my photobucket, so that is why I reposted that. Hopefully I can go back to Seattle and shoot some more, I LOVED that city.

the pp is 100% a matter of taste, and i hardly enjoy it.
notsureyyougave7/10iftakingapictureofababyis10xharderthanapictureofagirl

Dark eye sockets. While your intentions may have been to portray some connotative of dark, i think the light could've been better positioned. shadows under the nose look yucky.
is that smoke? or just some pp you did. Either way, I think you could've executed the smoke/pp better.

Shine on her teeth make her look like she has braces.
She has such beautifully-evident clavicles, yet this pose hinders them.
Pose is cheesy. Once again, the portrayal of a dark connotative couldhave been much better executed.

Overall, you failed to show the beauty of this girl in whatever context you wanted to place her in. Even if she's scared, even ifshe's sad (or whatever your intention was), a model this pretty should have her beauty captured in a way that unfortunately, you failed to do.

My suggestions: Ifyou want backened eye-sockets and texture on her clothing, but not her nose, tilt have her tilt her head forward a bit and change the angle of the light slightly to thel left/right.
I understand you like your PP, and the whole movie/drama/advertisement look appeals to you, but without the mastery of accurate skin tones under your belt, you will be limited to doing just that - green/blue looking pp.
Smoke is so 2007.
Try outside portraiture (with flash compliment) instead of this place. The way you aim your light is very unnatural, so I would first go to difference places like under bridges or under raised parking lots or outside of alleys with single- bulb lighting so you can see how the light blends into the model and immitate it.

2/10, where points are given to exposure. pretty model and cookie-cutter pp =/= good pictures.
sal would've gotten a 1/10, jas'n a 2/10, and alexandria a 10/10, coz baby.

Now for something truly difficult to photograph:
