has any of you tried the new-ish eneloop XX?
if so are they much better for speedlites?
not sure if i am going for the std eneloop 1500 or the XX yet

replacing all my speedlite batteries and getting a new charger as well
not going for maha etc tho, just gonna stick with a sanyo MQR 06, looks good for the price, believe you dont get it in the US tho

best. batteries. ever.

Eneloops just got twice as good (the xx's). I imagine the older (1500) version for long term emergency storage, but the xx's for immediate use. best yet, they can be charged with the same device.
The 1500's had a recycle time of a second. Idon't think the blinker goes blank on my ex 580 II's with the XX's

drawback: price. I will definitely be replacing all of my 1500's as soon as the price goes down.

yes. arguably 3x as expensive, so unless you need extremely fast recycle times, dont' get them (weddings, sports machine-gunning). In fact, I only have 2 sets (free from sanyo trials). Not worth the upgrade until they go down in price.

Broski, get 8 whites. The difference is not much, and as soon as these drop in price, get them. You'll get twice as many batteries if you think about it.
