So yea, I started photography buying from my teacher his Pentax 14D with a 18-45MM and a 60-200MM ( not sure on the exact number on that one but does not matter )

Tho, I want to buy a cam of better quality, that can shoot videos in good quality, and most importantly support a lens such as a 50MM 1,8f

Canon or Nikon ? There's soooo much model to choose from. I might be willing to put up to like 2000 $ or maybe more on this !

Thanks for any help !

I see from your signature that you really like orange, so Id suggest going Nikon.

damn xan, thank you for loving me so much.

With a 2k budget, I'd go for a Nikon D7000. It is superb at taking photos, better than anything at that price range. It also has video, but it is mediocre at best.

If videos are particularly important to you, a Canon 7D is your best choice. it is a little more expensive, but you can afford it (along with a 50 1.8). The 7D video is so good you can make 1080p movies out of it np.

Don't buy an expensive camera.
Glass > Camera.
Better having 2-3 good lenses and a decent camera rather than a gfg camera and 1 lens.
