Looking for something that is very newb friendly (read ez to use) and good quality for the price

basically a good entery level SLR

thoughts on the Pentax K-x? Other recommendations?

personally dont know about the pentax slr's
but i would stay away from them, suggest an entry lvl nikon
imo they make the best entry lvl slr's, and there are many used cameras and accessories etc

Now now just Nikon?
Also check out Canon.

i am currently using canon 5D II
but in the entry lvl i truely think nikon > canon
