expensive! But superb lens. The only thing that kept me from this was the lack of AF.
I owned the contax distagon and used it adapted for a while but i sold it when this lens was announced and only made a loss of a few hundred quid.
i currently don't own any AF lens :-) so that won't bother me.
I think for events the lack of AF will keep this in the bag, but for my travels it should be great. I'm worried about the no weather sealing too, it's first real commercial use will be my trip to norway to capture the northern lights. Its wet and cold there.
It in my humble opinion it will out shine any canon or nikon 35mm prime just as the contax version did, and can even give the leica summicron a good run for its money. My old contax version was sharp corner to corner, and i hear these perform as well also. I'm hoping i wont have to get it calibrated as that will be an inconvenience !
I waited a while before ordering to make sure they are as good as the older ones. And all seems well. I will Keep you informed!
