Ok so I need a new camera, which models do you suggest at this price point?

Canon Powershot
I started in the digital world with one of those and it has a great image quality for the price

yea I was browsing the top 5's on google heh

and I pretty much came up with that conclusion

nothing good about Samsung? Kodak? Olympus?

id rather ask here than just listen to the future shop guy lol

My mom has a Sony and I do't like the quality of her pictures, especially for the price she paid!
My daughter has a pink Kodak that makes amazing photos!
Only problem with Canon Powershot, well, the one I had, is that the batteries wouldn't last... but my daughter's Kodak would last forever!

sony p&s cameras are overpriced for the quality etc

never seen a good kodak
samsung, no
olympus make some decent 1s

generally battery life is inversely linked to screen size/brightness, as i have been told bigger (and brighter) is better

Decided to buy the Nikon coolpix s3100

14 Megapixels

5x zoom

720p videos

for 120$ CAN

best quality price ration I could find!
