I dont like that at all tbh. The original looks way better.

They both look kind of "zombified". And I dont think your mom would appreciate her hair being made white xD Never make a chick look older.

Lol -- agree 100%. "zombified' is soemthing I used vs your work, Xan. <3 u

Retain natural skin tones, raise exposure a bit on their faces while adding vignetting (black) or decreasing exposure on the background. That should make it more decent.

Hey I never got that bad D: The colors just kind of fooled me for a while, they were so pumped with reds that I didnt realize when Id overdo blues.

But yeah all that photo really needs is some extra lighting, nothing that takes 50 steps o_o

btw you'll end up getting unnatural reds on skin - must have been the sun's reflection on some sort of red wall or artifice. 2 ways: desaturate reds ~12% or go for a mid-day feel and decrease yellows + increase greens until the skin looks nice.

Oh I know, when I do a color balance now I dont even think about it, I know exactly where to push my sliders xD

It gets super annoying though, its like a relief when I get a picture that doesnt need any adjustments.

Nope. I always find something I can improve upon.
