My friend's band was performing at a club downtown here in ATL and asked me to cover the event for them. Gladly did it and heres some of the pics from the day.

C&C is appreciated like always. Was going for a edgy/urban look with the post work. Dragged the shutter with most of the shots.

What WB settings did you use? I think that is the best feature of the photos, besides the creative points of view.

/e I suppose you used second curtain sync or not?

Not bad mate but you went too crazy on the shutter drag haha

I reckon you should of setup one or two flashes on the sides of the stage (or one at the back) and just roam around with your wireless trigger

I like the photos - but the whole tilt thing I don't really like much.

Thanks man! It was on incandescent for most of the shots, most with bare flash and some with a 1/2 CTO gel. Almost all of them were shot with rear curtain sync. :)

Thanks! The band had tons of energy and i want to capture that in the photo so i opted for that style.

Haha, yeah especially towards the end.. i did go a little overboard with the drag. I got there too late to setup, band was already playing. The floor was crazy like typical clubs.. i don't have much room to navigate. :( Next time i would probably setup the scene before the performance. It's funny how i can just walk in with the camera instead of getting on line like everyone else :D. Gotta love photography ;)

I like the first one. It's the only one that doesn't look like a snapshot of your friend's band performance.

Am I the only one enjoying that tilt?
It gives a nice sense of movement, it's ok with the subject. Maybe it's just me tho.

What do you mean with "drag"? My English sucks sometimes.
