... mantis!!!

My daughter was looking for bugs outside and came back with a baby mantis, about 8 mm long. No idea how she was able to spot something so small! But I ended up having to take pictures of it :p

Here you go.. I don't like the quality of this image though...
I save in lowest resolution so it's easier for me to upload on Flickr, and it was already cropped so much...
The first picture was only squared up, not cropped on all sides, and was taken with a Titanium macro 0.42 (an old lens my dad had and can fit screwing on my kit lens). It is so macro, that it is almost impossible to stay still and be focused :(
This picture here is taken with... damn I can't remember... I changed lens so often...
It's either my 50 mm with a x3 close-up filter, or with the kit lens (I can get closer on the kit lens than with the 50 mm).

These insects are very useful and totally harmless to humans!
As a matter of fact, they will eat the 'bad bugs' from your garden :)
