Kind of stuck here guys.

Im going to a big gala tonight and me and a few of my friends from work are going to be dressed up all fancy (black tie event) to i obviously want to take the opportunity and take some shots.

I unfortunately only have the built in flash, never shot downtown (light leaks + light pollution), and its night time. to top it off im shooting with the 18-55.

Whats the best thing i could do in this case?

Don't shoot. NN direct flash yuckiness. I'd teach you how to modify your pop-up flash, but that would mean actual effort :\

Lol my modification is much much less tacky than this piece of shit look.

give me secret of the tradeee thats also using the sb-400 :S which is still much better than built in.

you have an sb400?

nono sorry, was just saying in the picture the guys doing it with an sb400

heard they were a decent little flash though
