My friend who is a professional photographer is looking to set up an online portfolio, and has asked me to help him with it. I have experience with web design so I will be helping
him set up the site and everything, but I have absolutely no experience with making flash. He has mentioned that he would like a flash gallery for the portfolio. I think non-flash-alternatives
would be good as well if they look professional and are easy to modify/manage(as I probably won't have time to help him manage the site after I get the whole thing set up)

So I know there are some professionals lurking amongst jsp, and I remember you guys recommending sites for portfolios etc. but I can't find the thread.

My friend is willing to invest a bit of money if required into a nice gallery/portfolio. What do you guys recommend?

Thanks in advance!

Flash allows you to control the typography, which is important.

If you don't go Flash, shadowbox is a nice alternative.

I took a look at shadowbox, and I like how it looks. I want to look into more options and compare before I show him the options and then decide together.
Do you have any recommendations for flash?

Oh you're talking about a premade flash gallery? Webstunning is ok if you're willing to pay, but it's not really "portfolio" oriented.
