I frequently get images that turn out like this when I upload my pictures straight from my camera(canon xsi) to my mac(g5) with the camera adaptor cord. I've tried using the card reader, but the icon doesn't show up when I plug it in as if my computer doesn't recognize it..even though our work cameras use the same size cards and they load fine.

I found out that if I upload my images to my PC, they look just fine, but I don't have adobe for my pc. Even when I upload to my PC and transfer the images to my mac with a flashdrive some of the images turn out better, but still a lot of them are choppy. I then tried transferring images to my mac via email (yousendit) and this seemed to solve my problem. I've tried using the flashdrive and the camera cord in three different usb slots with the same results. Is my computer broken or is there something else causing the images to turn out like this?

I've tried googling the problem, but I'm unable to word the problem correctly to find any results.

Thank You

This is your problem. It's what happens when people use yucky brands, like Nikon and its orange skin tones.

i would assume its the image file rather than your mac, its reading it incorrectly or correctly as the case may be. are you shooting in RAW? i would also try another sd/cf card to see if your memory is corrupted and affecting your images. its seems STRANGE to me so i have no idea how to help
