the colour of the sky is determined by your white balance.
you want a longer shutter speed to record the whole "bang" onto the film (sensor lol) aperture depends on what your shooting - example if you want to get a foreground with building or something. if your focusing to infinity you can go wider open.
I would aperture prioritise and determine the shutter speed by lowering or raising the iso
