I have not touched my nikon for a while now.

I want to start using it again. I finally have the time to use it.

Anyone could give me some good settings for shooting during daytime on sunny days and gloomy.

I will be taking pictures on both still and sports. I need to go get new batteries for this bad boy. so i cannot really test it.

It is film, so I cannot really wait and spend money on the results of me not knowing what the outcome would be.

Just need some good settings where i should be aiming at.

Thanks!

What a vague request.

What exactly will you be taking photos of?

Will be inside the gym for a basketball game and volleyball game of the players as they play.
Outside would be outer portraits of ppl.

It's not camera settings you need to worry about, it's film speed and the aperture on your lens. Along with flash if you've got one and can use it.

That's something I've always been a little scared of with film.

I don't think anyone can help you there since lighting levels vary from place to place. Do you have a light meter where you can use?

Not saying that you can't shoot sports with film, but it probably isn't the most economical way to do it if you're doing this long term.

I have plenty of film on me right now. I could get a bunch for free from someone I know. I also have access to my friends Dark Room in LA. So pretty much I could get all these things done for free. I just don't want my first shoot to be a disappointment after driving 2-3 hours to LA.

~~ Today I added on the new batteries and omg it startled for a moment when I put it on cH mode. I almost forgot how fast it was.
