Taking off with the light of the sun going down.

Unlike previous years, the snow geese decided to stay here for a little longer than the usual 24 hours...
One week now, not sure if Mother Nature has something to do with it.
We had huge amount of rain non stop for some days, thick gray clouds hanging low. I suppose those conditions were not the best for these migrating birds.
Oh well, I can only appreciate having them around, as the offer such a beautiful sight, like giant silver snow flakes in the sky.
I believe they are gone for good now. They are no where to be seen this morning.
Last night as the sun was going down, I was able to sneak on them and take a few more pictures.
Again, only having a 50 mm lens... one day I'll have something bigger....
Couldn't believe how hard it is to get the little focus point on a single bird in this fast moving flock!
Maybe by the time they come back next year I'll have another lens.. one can only hope...

Please note that all those pictures were uploaded in low quality so I could get them all here in the same day

I still think this is so cool.

I like the third one the most, where you can see the ground there, with the sun partly on it.

I would totally let you use my giant zoom lens for this, if only I lived nearby! But don't worry, I hope with you!

If you lived nearby you wouldn't let me use your lens as you'd be there taking pictures with it :p
Thanks for the comment!

Yes it's true!!!
Everywhere in Canada it's full of birds around our igloos!!!
Since there is no civilization in Canada and it's exactly how American people describe our country, birds prefer to be here :p
Just please as a mean of respect, Canada is a real country, so please use a capital 'C' :evillol:

Okay, I'll put it this way. I'd definitely take photos with it, but I'd let you do the same, I'd share, honest!

I have to agree on the Canada part. How could someone not know it's filled with birds and igloos? I thought that was very strange.
