Canon Rebel XS
18-55m dc len
8gb sdhc
camera bag
From the store Brand new for 499.99 and tax.

Im looking to buy the step up from my s2000hd fujifilm and progress into dslr. Heard rebel xs is a decent starter camera and found an ad for it on sale.
I have a price range off about 800+ tax but i also have to consider a lens in near future. My friends Canon lenses are more expensive compared to nikon.
Any suggestions?

I may even step up and do the t3i with 8gb stick and 15-55mm f3.5-5.6?

I figured id have a better input from the people whove actually gone through a few cameras and got a few for various models.
I'm also familiar with aperature, iso etc etc and learn pretty quickly so user interface/ convince isnt much of a problem for me.

Suggestions? Help? lol

If you plan on making money with photography eventually, choose the Canon. Otherwise, go with a Nikon equivalent.
