Hi people,

I have changed my gear. After deciding that I do not want to make money with photography I have decided to keep my 40D and I sold my 16-35 2.8 II and my 100 macro IS.

Now I have a 17-55 2.8 is and a 60 macro. I got the 60 almost for free and it is a superb fun lens, not visible optical difference from the 100 L...

In the end my friend was right, with aps-c sensors it is better to use dedicated lenses, ff lenses are bigger, heavier, more expansive and you do not use all their potential (of course this is not true with tele and super tele lenses).

I was playing at home in low light and these are two examples from the small macro...

Later I will go out and testing the 17-55...

hai una gatta bellissima!

edit: ora che ci faccio caso... dovresti spazzolarla, si vede la polvere sul pelo!

I fully agree with your choice: less cost, less weight and same performance.

I'm curious to see how performs your new super kit outdoor.

Omg vacuum tubes!! Are you into audio too? What tubes are they? I'm planning to roll my tubes pretty soon on my amp.

P.s- you're gonna absolutely love the 17-55. They don't call that king of crop lenses for no reason. Optically better then the 24-70L by far with IS to boot!

Yes, I have decided to keep my 40D coz bought KEF XQ 30 :P

That is an Audio Space AS-2i with 4 EL-84, the most musical tubes ever :) 12w but gozu!

The tubes are the original ones, but seems to be pretty good so I will use them until they work :)

No, I already have a job, and btw I can make money with this equipment if I add a flash so, I am fine :)

Not bad.

I believe that reversing focus gets hard...
