To be fair, I'm not promoting my major source of income, weddings, with this. It's just a test.
You can remove the +1 in like 3 days if you want. If I can get 10 +1's it'd make a difference, I hope. I'll announce the results after.

It's not really working properly yet, I signed up for it yesterday, but still not seeing the button, will +1 your site as soon as I see it working for me though.

I'm pretty much 100% certain that it won't be effecting search in any meaningful way any time in the immediate future, as it's just too open to abuse by people. I suspect that it'll be an absolutely minuscule result in a site's position in a SERP. The more likely way it'll have a meaningful impact will be in effecting friend's search results, rather than the wider web's. Obviously that's just speculation on my part though.

In other news, have you set up a Google Place for your business if you're trading from a particular location?

Yes I have. Setting up Google Place SEO'd me up like crazy.

Nice, I see you've got loads of images in there, which is good.

Have you spoken to clients about giving you a review? They absolutely help.

You could stick a few more keywords in the categories section, I know Google places a limit, but you can put more than one in the box, and people aren't getting penalised for it.

Your description could do with a little more padding out, with a few more keywords put in there, it's great that you've already put location keywords there though, that should really help.

You should also add more to the details, such as exactly what kind of event photography you do (with keywords, obv) and what locations you shoot in or can travel to. If you offer products like prints/books/etc definitely add those in there too.

But the most important thing is push clients to rate and leave reviews.
