Each year at the Montreal Botanical Garden, they have this live butterfly exhibition in one of the hot houses..
It's so beautiful! You have butterflies fly all over and sometimes land on you!
It's about 30 degrees Celcius in the hothouse and extremely humid.... Wearing pants and t-shirt, you sweat and all you do is walk, stand and take pictures...
But it is - 12 outside, so ofc kids and I we pay the coat check.
And we sweat...
I can't help but laugh at the people who are too cheap to pay the 2$ coat check and walk in the hothouse wearing their warm winter suits

It is the 3rd time I go this year (we have a yearly pass) and this time I dusted off my kit lens, even if I don't really like it.
But I felt it more suitable for getting closer to the butterflies, although it's not as fast a lens as my 50 mm, but at least, I can get to 25 cm from the butterflies, intead of 45 cm with the 50 mm lens...
I'll post more pictures after I go steal the 100 macro from someone who just got one and made a topic about it... (not to mention any name :p )

Anyways, enough with the talking, here are some pictures :D

Very nice, I really like the orange one and the one where the back of its wings are fluttering.

Nothing so far :(
But horses all have their winter coat to a certain degree, so I guess people will want to wait for the horses to be nice and shiny in the summer..... I hope...
