That doesn't seem like much of a macro there.. Even my 70-200 can do better than that. O.o

I cannot fathom how this does not look like a macro? its close focus on a small object - an object smaller than the cameras sensor therefore magnified or life sized in this picture.

and i am sure any non macro lens would be as sharp on a 100% crop.


Edit:

any one that think macro shots have to have the subject filling 100% of the shot which ruins any basis of composition has wrongly understood good macro photography.

i am not saying this shot is good, far from it i was just using this as an example to show my new lens and the way it performs :blink:
