After Silverefex I decided to test another Nikon editing programme, this one is like noise ninja, it reduces noise.

Well, I post an example of a picture I took at the mirror, with my 40D at max ISO (1600) with a 50 1.8II at 1.8 (so not best sharpness).
This is the result after the process, and believe me, my 40D is noisy at 1600...

Could you show the picture before and after the noise removal in 100% crop?

I would be interested in the black part of the pic (the part of the camera between you two fingers)

Looks like you have lost a lot of texture in the hands.. look too smooth?

Think that is the wide open softness of the lens...

Btw the focus is in the lens, so all rest is out of focus, at 1.8 dof is really small.

I am not at home and I deleted the original file, it was only a test for me at the beginning, anyway the reduction is very noticeable and black parts were not good enough for my taste, now it is clean.

I can provide a 100% crop later of this file.
