Offtopic: Why buy a 5d without knowing how to get correct lightning?
You are way too interested in gear and forgetting about learning how to use it.
Sorry for being mad.

Ontopic: Buy a flash or bounce light with a reflector.

Rude.

I've used sheets of papers as reflectors.
Not sure which look you wanted. I did movie-ish (not so much green) and what looked ok to me.

All you have to do is raise the face exposure on the dark parts while lowering exposure on the left part of the face, since it's almost blown out. Balance the purple face with some green and yellow white balance adjustments. Next time, instead of raising vibrance / saturation in your post processing, raise the blues / reds only instead.

I was going to do a 'vintage' effect look but I'd have to clean up the vomit since vintage look is so fuckin 70's.

i dont do any potraits, i wanted full frame for landscape and other things aswell as to further my photography. i'm not afraid to ask for help, i don't know everything. i'm just am enthusiast, and i can buy what gear i choose. And i am asking which shows i have not forgotten to learn, if anything it shows the opposite.

Yet true. Nothing against anyone here, but why worry about gear when we all firstly should worry about lighting and using it properly. But I also like the idea of if you have the money, why not spend it.

Or if people buy your photos for some reason, spend it on gear and un-noob yourself.

I make roughly $8k a year off photography (finish line photography). I figure that if I make that through photography, I can spend it on new gear at the end of the year.
