has any1 used the nikkor 28-70 f/2.8 before?
obv i know the 24-70 is better and far lighter
but this used is just so much cheaper

thoughts?

The technology behind both lenses is too similar to make that much of a difference. Beware of orange tones.

I used one on saturday, when testing out a f100 i was going to buy.


fairly sharp but heavy. but feels good quality. but i have never shot a 24-70

yeah i know its heavy, dunno if i would be able to shoot with it for that long - with a wedding in mind

well i used it for 30 mins its really hard for me to say. One thing i did notice it was sharper around f5 and not so much at the 2.8. from what i saw it was decent until the edge of the frame

yeah read that at 2.8 its a little soft but from f4 its brilliant
