I've bought this camera a few months ago and i'm still new to it.
Recently started snowboarding and i've been wanting to do continuous shooting but my camera doesn't seem to go fast enough
The faster i can go right now is 2 pictures/sec and the quality of the image is horrible.
The card I am using is a SanDisk Extreme 16GB ( 200x )
Apparently it's good for continuous shooting.

What setting should i use for better quality but keeping my 2picture/sec rate?
Is it possible to get to 3-4 pictures/sec with my camera?

Please help me :P
Regards
Mark

I read the manual and I have the correct settings for 3pics per sec but it's only taking 1.5ish per sec.
When i have the flash on it's even slower. When my flash is off it goes 1.5-2 per sec but the lighting is bad. quality too.
Does my ISO or something like that make it go slower?

e --> I set my image quality to JPEG L and it finally goes 3sec per shoot.
quality isn't that great and lighting is bad.
I'll test it this weekend when i go snowboarding with an outside natural light, see how it is.
Thanks

The only thing you can really do is set the file recording to med/lrg jpeg and take it off raw. I'm sure your SD card wouldn't be the bottleneck.

Besides that.. nothing much you can do. Unless you get a more capable camera aimed at prosumers that is.

Ok I can help you with this. First off, if you shoot against the sun, your camera will likely not be able to do this. The loss of contrast created by the sun will mess up your rebel's auto-focus system. You'll have a better chance at doing it against the sun, by having a wide aperture, and by manual focusing while the guy goes on a straight plane.
Next, your memory card is a lot faster than your rebel. You may try to do this with a tripod and have him jump several times.

Okay, so basically you say that shooting outside will be a problem?
Well i'll give it a try this weekend. If it doesn't work ill just stay with simple shooting, and ill do continuous once i buy a new camera :P

no shooting outside with good sunlight is best
what he meant (i think) was shooting into the sunlight, as in the pic you showed
better to shoot with the sun behind you
and yes best bet would be to set your camera up on a tripod, approx 90deg to where u will shoot (this will narrow the DoF you require), manual focus on the area, high shutter speed with low to med-low aperture (wide)
iso obv low as possible
even with this at 3fps you will most likely only get pic in the air, so you would need several jumps to get them in the correct places
gl and have fun with it
