I figured I would share. I thought this turned out terrible. I was low on time, so I kind of hurried it. Which is a shame because I thought this idea was awesome. So the shot out of camera wasn't the greatest, then I tried to edit it a bit. Bad editing thrown on top of a poor photo doesn't usually give you a good result. Any ideas on how to better execute this before and after?

The goal was to try and make the shot look like the typical batman head silhouette that you see in most of the movies. Idea was solid, am I right?

Strange o_o

The lighting is so odd, did you set a lamp behind his head? I dont really get Batman from this.

Only suggestion I really have is choose a different venue, since the first things I focused on were the unmade bed and dirty laundry

No it wasn't a lamp. I shot a flash behind her, I should have used some sort of constant lighting. No dirty laundry though, I promise that. Guilty when it comes to the unmade bed though, why make it when you are just going to sleep in it again...

Trying to find an example of what I was trying to achieve...

Ah. Yeah its just way too bright.

I thought that was a shirt hanging on the door xD And I agree about the bed, its actually better for you to not make it. Then again I dont take photos around it (planned ones anyway) :P.

I do like the graininess though.

I didn't know where else to take i cause I needed to make it dark as possible.

A lot of the batman movies end with a silhouette of batman. Granted Summer isn't wearing a cape... But look at the ears... That's why it reminds me of batman, all she needs is the cape.

if u can find a dark painted wall, then have a reflector positioned behind, with the strobe bouncing off it (or through if you have the right reflector and bright enough flash)
